Vixy Privacy Policy

Who this applies to

Vixy is intended for use by adults 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used Vixy, contact us at the email below and we will delete the associated account and data.

Information we collect

Account information. Vixy uses anonymous, guest-style sign-in by default. We do not require your name, email address, or phone number to use the app. An anonymous account identifier is created and stored so your conversations and settings can be restored when you reopen the app.

Optional sign-in. You can optionally link a Google account so your conversations, favorites, and usage credits carry over if you reinstall the app or switch devices. If you use Google Sign-In, we receive your Google account's email address and a unique identifier from Google — we do not receive your Google password or access anything else in your Google account.

Content you provide. Messages you send to AI characters, your favorites, your preference selections (e.g. character or story preferences), and information Vixy's memory feature remembers about your conversations (such as a preferred name or a stated preference) are stored so the app can maintain conversation continuity. You can view and delete remembered details, and delete individual conversations, at any time inside the app.

Usage information. We track how many AI replies you have used and your subscription tier so the app can enforce free-tier limits and paid plans.

Content reports. If you report a character or a response, we store the report reason and any details you provide so it can be reviewed.

Diagnostic and device information. We may collect basic technical information (such as app version and crash diagnostics) to keep the app reliable. Vixy does not currently show advertising and does not sell your information to third parties.

How we use information

We use information for the following purposes:

• To operate core features: conversations, favorites, chat history, and the character memory system.
• To enforce free message allowances and paid subscription entitlements.
• To review reported content for safety and moderation purposes.
• To maintain and improve the reliability of the app.

Where information is stored

Vixy's backend infrastructure is provided by Supabase. Conversation and account data may be processed and stored on Supabase's infrastructure under their own data protection terms. We do not sell your data to data brokers or third-party advertisers.

Payments

Subscriptions and one-time credit packs, when available for purchase, are processed through the app store (Google Play) and/or RevenueCat. Vixy does not directly receive or store your payment card details.

Your choices and rights

You have the following controls:

• View and delete remembered details: available directly inside the app's chat memory viewer.
• Delete a conversation: available from chat history or the in-chat menu.
• Delete your account and all data: available directly in the app from Profile → "Delete account & data." This permanently deletes your conversations, favorites, memories, and usage data on your device and, if applicable, on our servers — immediately, with no need to contact us.
• If you are unable to use the in-app option, you can request deletion by emailing the address below.

Data retention

We retain conversation and account data for as long as your account is active, or until you request deletion. Content reports may be retained longer for safety and moderation record-keeping.

Children's privacy

Vixy is not directed at, and must not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Vixy's features change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
